I have been slacking…

Men* I will prepare you… I’m brutally honest when it comes to health fitness and women so you might not like this or maybe those who have GFs/ Wives will get it and find it funny. But I’m warning you a head of time….

So… The “me” show. 

Again, I have been slacking. Started off strong- but then the stress of studying for the NASM certification threw me through a loop. Add in Mother Nature and her having to grace me with her presence and you have an interesting week. 

I knew it was coming though- see your body has a way of telling you, slow the f down. If you don’t listen, well, it doesn’t matter it will slow down for you.

I don’t listen.

I on the other hand, take on more! Haha like any girl boss right? Wrong. You have to have balance, we don’t have to conquer the world in a day. 

Well, given my body has reached exhaustion, late nights studying, crazy CrossFit/ Hard Corp workouts, and coaching…starting last week I begin to spiral… It started with a cheat meal… That lead to a week of inconsistent workouts, I missed my double days and my programming was jacked. 

I was just all over the maps. 

Sunday came and I was still in this funk of disorganized chaos which lead to Monday… Then today it hit me… 

The thing I have been lacking all along was this…  


Ya call me crazy.

I had ran out of my Shakeology Saturday, missed it and yesterday it arrived! 

So going from drinking it daily to missing it 3 days in a row, big deal for my body.
Here is why:

Hello… Is it me your looking for?

HAHA… Okay… but in serious… You definitely were probably looking for me. Well here is the thing, I have been looking for GAINS! Duh! ๐Ÿ˜œ

Since Christmas time my life has been GO- GO- GO. But all for the good.

To start… I am tackling a new Challenge called The Hammer and Chisel Masters challenge. If you haven’t heard. I packed on 7 lbs from Thanksgiving to New Years and it is time to get that shit under control.

So to hold my self accountable I joined a Coach Masters Challenge Group! It is going great! I weight in next week on my 30 days! I will post my 30 day before and afters then ๐Ÿ™‚ GET READY!

I have been traveling a lot, we spent the holidays in Auburn, FL and we will soon be in CO and then I will hit PA! Lots of airplane love and miles to rack up ๐Ÿ™‚

When the New Year hit Jim and I celebrated 2 years together! Seemed like so much longer but we have been friends for almost 8 of those years so it makes sense. We celebrated with an amazing steak dinner and then… I ran a 15K the next day haha. He is so supported of my crazy fitness life. Truly is my soul mate.

So… here we are… pre- me dying… I ran the whole thing! Finished in 1hr and 35mins! Not bad for my first 15K, it was for charity too!

 

Not too shaby… It was invigorating!

We love doing charity workouts and supporting causes especially ones that hit close to home like the AVON39! Myself and my Team Fearless Fitness memebers are still active in raising money for the Avon39, The Walk to End Breast Cancer. You might have seen this around too…

Speaking of Soul…. Today I tried Soul Cycle for the first time ever!

Talk about moving and nourishing your mind! I love motivational anything, quotes, books, personal development etc and this just took things to the next level.

It was absolutelyย a-maze-ing. Words could not describe the feeling I had. Tyrell was such a good instructor and I can’t wait to go back and take another class!

Thank you Cara Alwill Leyba for inspiring me everyday by your books, your IG post etc and eventually this class. Everything I have turned into has been because of the confidence your coaching has brought ๐Ÿ™‚

Sunday’s are for…. (Fill in the blank)

You better have said meal prepping!

It is true! While Sunday’s are days of lots of fun things to do it is also the cap of our weekend. Monday comes quick… So be prepared.

I have been meal prepping a long time and I honestly feel it is the only way I stay on track. If I do not prep myself for the week it is just setting myself up for failure and the ease of giving into temptations…

A lot of my clients and followers express that they think of meal prepping but don’t do it because they are lost… well here are some tips on how to start becoming a MEAL PREP PRO.

  1. Set Goals and talk with your coach: If you have ย a coach, loop in with them. What are your desires? Weightless, Build muscle? Once you know what your goal is you can organize your meal plans to help you achieve that!
  2. Plan a head: Look at your week from either Monday to Friday or Monday to Sunday. It is your decision how many days you prep for. I start on Monday and prep until Friday and then restructure for the weekends.
    1. Figure out what events are happening, what your schedule is like and how much time you can dedicate to “cooking” what ever you can’t do, prep today (Sunday).
  3. Make your meal plan… See below my plan for this week: I am following a paleo version of the 21 DF: If you want more information on what I am eating and why we can always chat offline!

4. Make a grocery list AND STICK TO IT. (side note: don’t go shopping hungry… it is how bad things end up in your cart… trust me… i know). See my list below: i go through my cabinet and see what I have, anything I don’t have goes on the list…. nothing else in the cart… just what is on the list.


5. Bang out the Prep Work! Now you have all your foods home, what do you prep versus what can you make that day all depends on your schedule… See I work 6a – 4p and workout at 5p so I prep all my meals except dinner. The dinners I planned for this week all take under 30mins to prep so I know I will have time to do that without having to bulk prep dinner. So I structure my lunches into containers and use my 21DF portion containers to help measure my allotment per meal. If you do not have these containers measuring cups will do but stick to your allotted macros.


6. STICK TO THE PLAN: so now you are prepped for success but it is Tuesday and maybe you are bored of your salad and water for lunch. Don’t sabotage your hard work from Sunday on a 20 min burrito bloat. Trust me, compared to your goals and the success you will feel at the end of the week… it is not worth it.

Meal prepping is an art and in my opinion takes time to form into a routine but sticking with it every Sunday will help it become a part of your normal schedule. There are so many sites that can help give you awesome meal prep ideas, our blog included. You just have to carve out a little bit of time, throw on your creative thinking cap and get to planning.

It is all worth it in the end!

Where have you been coach??

I know… everyone has been asking where there beloved Coach has been. This blog has gotten some serious neglect the past two months and my deepest apologies… but I am back… for now.

Travel season has officially ended for work and if you do not follow me on IG, Twitter or FB you probably have no idea about the amazing progress we have been making as a Team. NOT OK.

So follow us and I promise to keep this updated weekly until the end of the year.

So where have I been… well, for starters, I was in Disneyland–again, it was for work. I promise. Then back. Then in Auburn with the family, then in Virginia a week… that was so beautiful. They actually have fall!

Then I pulled my back at CrossFit, that was fun… so things have been cray. BUT I AM BACK!

That is all that matters… and with that I will fill you in on another little update…

Wow! Fitfam, it has been a week since we have dropped a line and I am already home from PA!

What an amazing trip! For all you Football Fans, I had the pleasure of being on the #2 field in the USA! Penn State bay-bee! We had to use our charm to get in but man, what an experience all around! I mean check out how GORGEOUS this field is!

Where have I been? Here, there and everywhere!

Okay… So I have been M.I.A the past month. I know, I suck in that regard. But… for all good reason!

That is right! Out side of a huge recap of where Team Fearless Fitness has been, but where our goals are, what we are launching and what amazing things you can expect the next few weeks!

But first, to share some empowering and inspiring words.

Most know that I am a one year survivor, I underwent my bilateral segmental mastectomy about a year and a half ago and I have been doing wellย in my recovery and getting stronger every day. You also know, I am a VERY large supporter of the AVON 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer. I was prior to my journey and now I am an even BIGGER supporter!

Well… Last weekend, Team Fearless Fitness hit the streets ofย San Franciscoย to CRUSHย 39.3 milesย in the Fight against Breast Cancer. We walked through Pier 39, Through the financial district, into China town, back into the Marina through Fort Mason and over the Golden Gate Bridge, into Sausalito Tiburon and camping out in Corte Madera Park.

We conquered 23.9 miles on Saturday and on Sunday another 15.4. It was anย Amazing, inspiring andย unforgettableย journeyย and the best thing is I got to CRUSH IT representing my team and along side myย Best Friend and Sister Lo.ย

Insanity has met crossfit for the next 60 days!! The am is going to consist of my Insanity Max 30 programming for Cardio and crossfit will provide my weight training and HIIT workouts! My goal is to drop body fat And lean out for summer!! I’m on my second week and it is going well so far!! I’m so pumped to be setting these goals and being able to share my progress with you!
