Summer is coming to an end! Sad as it may be my favorite time of year is set to grace us very soon!! 
That’s right! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฟFALL๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚

My absolute favorite time of year, seasons are changing and nights grow longer! I love it! It’s also pumpkin season๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ˜†

So in honor of this amazing season debut I made one of our 21 Day Fix recipes that is pumpkin inspired!!

They are called “Pumpkin Pie Energy Bites” from our 21 Day Fix cook book!!

This recipe is Gluten Free, Paleo friendly, vegetarian and vegan!

16 servings 1 serving = 1/2 yellow container! Boom!

You need:

1 cup pitted dates

Warm water 

1/2 cup raw pecans pieces 

1/3 cup canned purรฉe pumpkin

1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes, reserve small amount for rolling 

1tsp maple extract

1tsp pure maple syrup

2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1 pinch sea salt 

To do:

1. Place dates in medium bowl; cover with water. Let soak for 10 minutes. Drain. Set aside.

2. Place pecans in food processor; pulse until finely ground.

3. Add dates, pumpkin, coconut, extract, maple syrup, Punkin pie spice, and salt; pulse until well mixed. Place in a medium bowl. Refrigerate, covered, for 30 minutes.

4. Using clean hands, roll into tablespoon sized balls; role in reserve a coconut if desired.

5. Store, refrigerated, an airtight container.

Fall is almost here…

Can you believe it? Probably not as it is 100 degrees out side but only 37 days until fall, that’s pumpkin๐ŸŽƒeverything, Hunters rain boots โ˜”๏ธlulu pants and hoodies, football๐Ÿˆ and if yes all the treats that come with the holidays! 
Kids are back to school and everyone is excited about cozy fall๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฐ๐Ÿ

I know it’s exciting but I have already seen priorities slipping but I’m here to remind you summer will be back! 

  
You will still want to rock a hot bikini or shorts and remember summer bods are made in the OFF SEASON!

Why not you?

I sat for the last couple of days thinking about what my next post would be about. 

I had so much to express but not sure exactly what I wanted to share with you… then it hit me. A video is worth a thousand words so why not make this treat for you to watch…. see below.

More than 1/2 of children and adults are over weight

People who are over weight are more likely to have high blood pressure, high levels of blood fat, and high levels of bad cholesterol which are all risk factors for diabetes or stroke.

Physical Activity does more than just help with weight loss, it helps prevent and combat health conditions and diseases. It improves your mood and boosts your energy! It promotes better sleep and even can put a spark back into your love life! 

Bottom line- YOU NEED to be health and care about how and what you put into your body… Everyday we see people decide that it is their time to make the change and invest in themself.

Recipe of the Day

Im not sure about you but I’m obsessed with polenta… It’s basically corn ๐ŸŒฝ but you can do so much with it and it’s good for you! 

I always search for new concoctions to make with it and came across this!!! How yummy! Might be eating this tonight! I’m famished from such an amazing CrossFit workout! 

Remember, training hard is key but you need to fuel your body well too!

Wow this weekend Flew by…

What an amazing weekend. It was filled with so many highs and then ended with some crappy lows but it is okay, you push through and you move forward.

To give you a recap:

FRIDAY: I had the day off. YES. I know.

–It honestly was amazing. I had appointments in SF but I got to workout on my own time and do me for a while which never happens. Sometimes a girl just needs her nails did, yeah feel me ??๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿผ

Friday night was so great! I was reunited with my dance crew in San Jose for Groov3! It was so great to one be able to dance with them again but two meet new friends and get my sweat on! I honestly believe that DANCE is a cure for any emotion you feel. It is how I made it through HS and College!

  
SATURDAY– another day of amazingness with the crew! Got to reunite with the OLD SKOOL crew at AP5 and dance our little Hearts out in Richmond, CA!

   
    
    
 Then… 11pm hit… when all you do is want to get home because you are exhausted from burning nearly 3,000 calories and your are hungry but your SUV decides it wants to be a pain and die. Yes straight up die, no battery no steering no nothing. DEAD AND GONE.

So here comes Jim and AAA to the rescue…. It is 3am… I am finally in bed… NOT COOL. So you can imagine that my Sunday was full of stress and for dinner I had a 1/2 a pint of Artic Zero Ice Cream and A box of Teddy Ghrams… Yep I ate my feelings. NOT COOL EITHER. But I am owning up to it.

I always say, what you eat in private you wear in public… that goes for me too. SO DON’T HIDE IT. Just admit to your faults and move on, life ain’t easy and we all have a struggle. IT IS REAL I TELL YOU!

So today was a lot better– back on track with my eating and I got an amazing burn in doing “livin in the 8’s”  and “21 Day Fix Cardio” this AM. Honestly, these two programs have been my Saviors since they were released! 30min workouts and dialed in nutrition with the Fix and just a fun ass workout with CIZE.
